About the Program
The English Medical Program at the School of Medicine, Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences (MNUMS), currently enrolls over 140 students from Korea, Canada, Russia, Japan, and Mongolia.
Starting from the third year, students have the opportunity to complete their clinical training not only at the MNUMS-affiliated National and Mongolian–Japanese Hospitals but also at partner institutions in the United States and the Republic of Korea. This allows students to acquire professional knowledge and skills that meet international standards.
MBBS Curriculum
The program adopts a block-based learning system designed to enhance learning outcomes.
Students develop the knowledge and skills necessary to meet the requirements of medical licensing examinations in both Mongolia and the United States.
Our goal is to train competent physicians who can compete and contribute to the global healthcare community.
Program Highlights
• International Clinical Training Opportunities:
Students can participate in summer clinical clerkships at partner institutions such as Methodist Hospital in San Antonio (USA), George Mason University, the University of Texas, and Chung-Ang University Hospital in South Korea.
• “2+4” Joint Program:
Implemented in collaboration with George Mason University (USA), this program allows students to complete 2 years of preclinical and 4 years of clinical education, earning a total of 186 credits upon completion.
• Global Collaboration:
The School of Medicine maintains active academic and research partnerships with the Hyundai International Center for Medical Education at Chung-Ang University (Republic of Korea) and the University of Texas Medical Center (USA), promoting faculty and student exchanges and joint research initiatives.
Learning Environment
All courses are conducted in English. Students have access to modern laboratories, a Clinical Simulation Center, and multiple teaching hospitals for hands-on clinical experience.

The English Medical Program is internationally recognized and accredited, providing graduates with the opportunity to pursue medical careers and postgraduate training both in Mongolia and abroad.
This program aims to cultivate the next generation of Mongolian physicians equipped with globally competitive medical knowledge and professionalism.
