Introduction of Clinical Simulation Center

The Clinical Simulation Center was established in 2024 under the directive of the Rector of the Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences as a center affiliated with the School of Medicine. The center began its operations in the 2024–2025 academic year by admitting its first group of students. It regularly provides clinical simulation training for both undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as for medical doctors, in collaboration with the faculty members of the School of Medicine.

Structure of the Clinical Simulation Center

The Clinical Simulation Center of the School of Medicine consists of three sub-centers:
– The Integrated Sub-Center for Surgery, Emergency and First aid medicine, and Traumatology
– The Sub-Center for Obstetrics and Gynecology
– The Integrated Sub-Centers for Internal Medicine, Ophthalmology, Otorhinolaryngology (ENT), and Pediatrics

Surgical Section

The Surgical Section includes operating rooms equipped with instruments for practicing laparoscopic surgery and various surgical procedures. The operating room has two beds and provides opportunities for performing both open and laparoscopic surgeries on experimental animals (rat, pig etc) to acquire surgical skills and hands-on experience. The Emergency and First Aid Section is fully equipped with the necessary instruments and devices for providing first aid, enabling learners to master essential hands-on skills such as basic and advanced life support. The Obstetrics and Gynecology Center is equipped with a pregnant woman examination room, fetal ultrasound and monitoring devices, as well as delivery management and abnormal pregnancy and childbirth simulators. It provides students with comprehensive practical training to acquire clinical skills in obstetrics and gynecology.
