Aim and objective of our department
To add value to the oncology field of study, provide continuing training and research opportunities, define policies surrounding oncology science and cooperate with other organizations and authorities to provide support.

Education
In addition to teaching 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th year medical students and supervising junior resident doctors, we provide short to long term professional training on oncology, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, target therapy, palliative care and surgical oncology. Each year 10-13 junior doctors are enrolled in our residency program, up to 10 fellows are enrolled in our postgraduate training.

Research and Mission
To provide the graduates with the theoretical knowledge of cancer and treatment and diagnostic skills with international standards.
Leading modern cancer research and producing the best scientists
Innovate new diagnostic and treatment technologies of oncologic diseases
Target and immunotherapy for cancers and complication and risk factor of cancer surgery is the main field of research.

Subject-curriculums
The Department of Oncology implements 6 Oncology programs in the 4th, 5th and 6th courses of the School of Medicine, in the 6th and 4th courses of International school of Mongolian traditional medicine, and in the 6th course of the school of dentistry. The postgraduate course focuses on residency of oncology and chemotherapy, and the graduate course provides doctoral and master’s degree research.
