School of Medicine, MNUMS has established in October 05, 1942 as the Medical Faculty under National University of Mongolia. The Faculty of Medicine has become independent from National University of Mongolia as Mongolian National Medical Institute on Aug 16, 1961, and has become National Medical University of Mongolia on Nov 11, 1991 and renamed as Health Sciences University of Mongolia on May 06, 2003 and reorganized to become School of Medicine, Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences on June 01, 2014.

School of Medicine

Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences takes a holistic approach to reviewing the application of every international candidate.
Eligibility criteria: 
– Applicant who have completed high school curricular education /certificate or diploma is required/
– Applicant must be at least 18 years old who are able to handle legal requirements
– Applicant who have basics of Mongolian language for communication and its equivalent certificate or diploma. If not applicant must complete Mongolia language program/3-month, 6-month, 1-year/ of MNUMS
– If applicants who have the Language Proficiency Test (IBT, TOEFL. IELTS., etc) may be considered to exclude the Mongolian language proficiency requirement.

Documents to submit: 
– Personal statement and cover letter (within 500 words)
– Application form
– Photo within last 6 months (size: 3 cmx4 cm with JPEG, JPG, PNG format)
– Scanned copy of ID card/Passport (valid for at least 3 years and above)
– Certificate of Language Proficiency Test for Mongolian/English
– Registration fee: 50 USD

Visas

Students who are studying in-person program require a student visa to enter Mongolia based on their student contract with MNUMS. A student cannot enter Mongolia without correct visa. The visa can take up to 12 weeks to process. Therefore, applications for the new academic year must be made as soon as possible, to ensure that the student can commence the new school year on time. Students shall pay their own visa expenses. 
Student residency permit
Once student has arrived in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia will apply for a student residency permit. Students must not engage in part-time job with their student visa and permit. Students should make a request at least 1 month before, if they want to go back to their home country during their semester break.
