Introduction<\/mark><\/strong>
The Department of Pulmonology and Allergology was originally established in 1992 under the name Department of Pulmonology and Hematology, with Ch.Tserennadmid, Professor, serving as the founding Head of the Department. In 2018, the Department of Pulmonology and Allergology was formally re-established pursuant to an official order issued by the administration of the Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences. The department comprises two professorial divisions\u2014Pulmonology and Allergology\u2014and currently has nine academic staff members. Sixty percent of the faculty hold a doctoral degree in medicine, while 50% possess professional physician qualifications. The academic staff includes two professors, one associate professor, one Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), and five faculty members holding a Master\u2019s degree in medicine. In alignment with the development policy and strategic objectives of the Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences, the department is committed to fostering a modern educational environment through well-structured curricula and training programs. Its mission is to prepare highly qualified specialists in pulmonary and allergy medicine who meet international standards, reflect contemporary global trends, and respond effectively to the current needs of society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The Department of Pulmonology and Allergology has presented over 100 oral and poster presentations at international conferences and published 39 articles in Scopus-Indexed international journals, which have collectively received approximately 1000 citations, demonstrating the broad scope and impact of the faculty\u2019s research activities. In addition, the department holds 28 intellectual property rights, including certificates for utility models and copyrights. Furthermore, seven novel diagnostic methods have been introduced into clinical practice.
